Yes, we said last year that we’d be moving to Maui this year.  However, as the old saying goes “Man Plans; God Laughs”.   Our plans are in flux and we’re not sure where we’ll end up a year or so from now...

Events:

Jan - Spent two weeks in Mexico:  Cozumel and then Puerto Morelos. 

March - I travelled to Maui with my brother and two nieces for spring break (compliments of my brother).  Got to do some things I had not done before including snorkeling at Molokini crater and touring the Maui Plantation.

April - Visited Austin TX and Laguna Beach / Anaheim.

Jun - Mo’s family reunion at Pensacola Beach.

Jun - After graduating with a Masters Degree from DU, Yilong moved to Binghamton NY to pursue his pHd.  (He’s a Chinese student who came into our lives 2 years ago and became like a family member.) We will miss him.

Aug - Traveled to N. California to celebrate Dano’s Uncle Wesley’s 90th birthday.  We also visited friends in the San Fran area while there.

Aug - Nani (age 21) will start her SENIOR year of college.  Earlier this year, she got to study abroad in Regensberg Germany. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, as she got to visit many other countries while she was over there.

Kris (age 24) continues to move up the food chain, so to speak.  He took a great paying job as the lead sous chef at the charming Italian trattoria downtown called Pizza Republica, which features wood-fired pizza and an extensive wine list.  He will have the opportunity to get a Neapolitan cooking certificate.
